Users can enter time and expenses in a closed period

Question
Why the user is able to enter time in a closed period?

Answer
There are cases when a user can enter time and expenses in a closed period:

  1. The closed period was not set up correctly. The date must be in the past, and today's date must be after the closed period plus the lag days for "create".
  2. If there are  closed periods set for the billing office that is associated with the engagement that the time or expenses are being booked for, the system-level closed periods are ignored.
  3. The security feature "Process Records in Closed Periods" allows users to process time and expenses in closed periods.
