V2012 Cannot delete request due to time or invoice

SYMPTOMS

It is not possible to delete a request. When trying to do so, an error occurs.

ERROR

The request has been invoiced or time was entered for it.  It cannot be deleted.


RESOLUTION

This is working as designed. A request with invoices or time entries cannot be deleted.

For the time entries, you can desubmit them and then remove them form the time sheet. Do not adjust the time entries to 0. Even if an time entry has been adjusted to 0, it is a time entry and will prevent the request from being deleted.
