Portlet not working for fixed fee projects

QUESTION:
Why Project profitability portlet (Accelerator) is not picking up the invoiced amounts for fixed fee projects ?


ANSWER:
This is how the functionality treats changes made to a Fixed Fee association after invoicing has occurred. Apparently, it will only pick up the association when there is a change to the invoice status. Therefore, it is not going to pick-up the already invoiced items – UNLESS those invoices happen to be in a status other than committed. Once committed and the jobs run then the amounts would show (Update time rate job will start chain of jobs including Financial Summary job which populates tables used for this report). Otherwise, it’s only going to work going forward with the to-be-invoiced Fixed Fee billing milestones.

I suggest focusing on getting results going forward and not for the already billed Fixed Fee amounts. This would include unchecking the “link to task” checkbox on the billing milestones so that someone doesn’t accidentally link to a billing milestone instead of the parent Fixed Fee.
