Project Summary and Remaining columns (2010)

QUESTION:
In the project budget there is a section called Project Summary. There is a set of columns named Remaining. What is the explanation of how these numbers are calculated?

ANSWER:
Remaining total simply represents what is not shown on the worksheet, and is helpful when you have a project that runs more than 12 fiscal periods (monthly periods).
The worksheet only displays 12 fiscal periods at a time. Whatever is not in those 12 fiscal periods is shown in ‘remaining’.
That goes both ways, i.e. fiscal periods in the past and fiscal periods in the future. The filter from the Actions menu of the budget can be changed on the worksheet to display the other fiscal periods to see the data (in the past or in the future).
