Report Designer report does not render in Enterprise (CP 2012)

SYMPTOMS:
After a Report Designer report change, when running the report from Enterprise, the progress bar is displayed and it progresses for a moment, then everything stops..
The report stalls near completion and does not error out, simply hangs until it is cancelled.

REASON:
The problem appears when reports are saved using IE11 in Report Designer.


RESOLUTION:
Modify and save the report in IE9/IE10 instead of IE11.
