This can happen when a different user used the same desktop or laptop to sign into Changepoint and launch Cognos but then did not log out of Cognos before signing out of Changepoint.

To clear the user name in Cognos:

  1. Exit Cognos using the logout link.
  2. Sign out from Changepoint.
  3. Clear the browser history (for Internet Explorer, be sure to uncheck the “Preserve favorites website data" option before clearing the history).
  4. Sign back into Changepoint and launch Cognos.
