V2014 Cannot delete request due to time entries

QUESTION

When deleting a request, an error message pops up saying that deletion is not possible due to existing time entries. How can these time entries be found?

 


RESOLUTION

To find request time entries, the report 'Time Listing' can be used. It is possible to filter on TimeEntryType='Request' plus additional fields (e.g. engagement/initiative) in order to find request time.

Then, the time entries can be remvoed from the time sheet. If the time entries are pending approval, then the approver can reject these time entries. If the time entries are already approved, the function 'Desubmit Time' can be used to undo the approval.

Do not use the function 'Adjust Time' to change existing time entries to 0. Even a 0 time entry is a time entry and prevents request delition.
