Time record is not approved after clicking approve

Question
When selecting a time record to approve and clicking approve, the record was not approved. Need to select the record and click approve again.

 


 

Answer
The user has dual roles of project time approver, and resource time approver. When the user submits the time, it goes into the TimeApproverRecords table with a status of "PP", waiting for approval of the project time approver.

When the user clicks the "Approve Time" link, the record in the TimeApproverRecords table gets updated with a status of "PE", which means the resource time approver must approve the time as well.

The user still sees the time record in the Time Approval queue because it is awaiting approval of the resource time approver. Once the user clicks the "Approve Selected" link again, the record is removed from the TimeApproverRecords table.
