Symptoms
When using the reprompt button in a Cognos 11 non-interactive report (i.e. Cognos 10 style), it does not load new data from the database. Even if there is new data in the database, after reloading the report, previous (=cached) data is displayed.
The queryReuse and caching parameters have all been disabled.
This was working well in Cognos 10 but after upgrading to Cognos 11 this new behavior was noticed.
Reason
This has been acknowledged as a defect by IBM and will be fixed in a future release. Clicking reprompt should reload the report with the latest data.
Workaround
- The report reloads with new data if at least one filter value is changed before clicking reprompt
- The report reloads with new data if the report mode is set to 'interactive'
