Cannot set credit note fields as Required

Cannot change the Required or Not Required settings under Metadata for fields such as "Credit note format" in credit notes. Why?

You cannot set credit note fields as required or not required; this is by design.

If the credit note format field is left blank when creating a credit note, its value will be inherited from the invoice it is created for.
