Welcome to the new Planview IdeaPlace Campaign Headquarters. Here is where you’ll find the current campaigns on the products and themes we are prioritizing.

Your ideas play a key role in shaping new features and improving our products. We believe the best features are built with our customers, using your input and feedback as a foundation.

With that, we’ve upgraded how we use IdeaPlace by moving to focused, time-boxed campaigns.  Our product teams plan quarterly, so we are adjusting the campaigns to now also run quarterly - so top ideas in a campaign will be prioritied in the next quarterly planning.  Campaigns will now center on themes that align with areas we’re actively investing in or improving. It’s a more intentional, trackable process that ensures ideas don’t fall into a black hole.

How It Works

We’ve aligned our idea campaigns with key focus areas and strategic themes we’re prioritizing. Here’s how the process works:

What Happens Next

  • Top Ideas → Planning
The highest-ranked ideas move into the following quarter’s planning cycle. Each cycle allocates development time specifically for ideas from these campaigns.

  • Backlog for Other Ideas
Ideas not selected for immediate planning are added to a prioritized backlog for up to 1 year. They are reviewed quarterly. If an idea remains unselected after a year, it will be closed and must be resubmitted for future consideration.

What about the Continuous Improvement Campaigns?

Great question — these aren’t going away completely. But instead of being always-on and hard to track, they’ll also follow the quarterly cadence and run between major strategic campaigns. That means more visibility, more clarity, and more action — not less.

So if you’re running or using a Continuous Improvement campaign today, don’t worry — we’ll help you transition. We hope that a new format for these types of ideas will actually increase the likelihood of them moving forward.
