Some time records cannot be invoiced

SYMPTOMS:

When attempting to create an invoice, the following message appears:

ERROR/WARNING MESSAGES:

"Some time records cannot be selected because no billing rates have been defined for the Engagement and task assignments or no exchange rate has been defined for the billing rate currency. To invoice these time records, the billing rates must be defined and exchange rates must be updated for different billing rate currency."

RESOLUTION:

There are missing billing rates, please check that the billing role that have been assigned is correctly in Engagement. The nightly job 'Update time Rate' has to run to update correctly the billing rates for the time entries.
