Question
When we try to transfer a resources’ time from one project to another project why does the system give 'time record can only be transferred within same project' error message?

 

 

Answer
Whether the time is transferable between project tasks or not, depends on how your Billing office or Cost Structure has been set up.
In your billing office/cost structure "Prevent Resources from transferring time between projects" has been selected.
That's why you are getting this warning message: ''time record can only be transferred within same project''

To be able to transfer time between the projects, this check box must be de-selected
