Cannot deselect certain workcodes in a project

SYMPTOMS
We want to deselect some work codes in a project, but they are selected and the checkbox disabled. We cannot deselect these codes.

REASON
These work codes have been selected on a task or a task assignment.


RESOLUTION
Edit the task and task assignments having the code in question and select a different one. After this, the checkbox for the code you want to deselect in the project becomes editable.
