Error 0x80004005 received when installing patches

Symptoms
Patch installation fails.

Error/Warning Messages
Error 0x80004005 Description: Unspecified error Setup will now terminate

Reason
Patch installation using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) with color setting of the display set to 256 colors



Workaround
Log in to server without using RDP to install patch

Resolution
Set the display resolution to > 256 colors in the RDP dialog before installing patch

Additional Notes
The Changepoint version is not relevant - this problem exists on multiple versions.

Installation guide already has a Troubleshooting section "Installation using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP)" for the main Changepoint Enterprise installation program and the services installation program.

The patch installation program has the same issue/limitation.
