Planned effort cannot be changed in project planning worksheet (PPW) due to warning about loading methods (CP 2017 SP1)

When using a task view in PPW, the following error occurs when the planned effort for a task is changed:

"1. The planned effort cannot be changed due to the loading methods of the task assignments."

There are limited changes you can make to a task in a task view when the task has task assignments. For example, you cannot edit the planned data for a task if its task assignments have a manual loading method.  

In most cases it is best to use a task assignment view to make changes because task assignment views include more detailed data that is required to process the changes.
