Disabling Email notification (2014 SP1)

QUESTION:
How to turn off E-mail notification


ANSWER:
E-mail notification can be turned off by taking the steps below.
1. Click Preferences.
2.  Expand the Email notifications section. - A list of all system email notifications appears.
3.  To disable all emailnotifications, select the Disable all email notifications check box.
4.  To disable or enable emailnotifications individually:
      a. If the Disable all email notifications check box is selected, clear it.
      b. To disable an emailnotification, select the corresponding check box.
      c. To enable an emailnotification, clear the corresponding check box.
5. Click Save.

*Note: Email Template option contains "Hide this email template in user preferences" which can hide some of the Email notifications preferences. This can be unchecked by System Admin.
