Cannot log in: Your browser is not supported
Symptoms
When trying to connect to our Changepoint v2014 environment using IE, there is an error message and it is not possible to log in.
Error/warning message
Your browser is not supported.
It is possible to connect to the same environment using Chrome. It is also possible to connect to a v2012 environment using IE.
Reason
Internet Explorer has been configured to run in Enterprise Mode. Enterprise mode corresponds to IE8 and Changepoint V2014 no longer supports IE8.
Resolution
Switch off enterprise mode. This is an option in the IE tools menu. If it is not present in your IE, please check with your IT department.
Additional Notes
Enterprise mode might have been intentionally enabled for IBM Cognos compatibility. In that case, rather than enabling it for the entire Changepoint site, your IT department can enable it for the /ibmcognos folder only.
