FAQ: Changepoint Mobile App and Amazon AWS
Is any data stored on Amazon servers?
Changepoint-related data is not stored on Amazon servers. The only data that is stored is the mobile device identifier (token) that acts as a proxy to establish push notifications between Amazon and the corresponding mobile platform (Apple, Google).
Also, the mobile device identifier is mandated by any mobile platform to engage notifications with endpoints and does not contain personally identifiable information.
What security protocols are in place to protect customer data?
All traffic between Changepoint and Amazon is SSL encrypted.
All configuration keys used to establish authentication with Amazon are encrypted in Changepoint configuration files.
Is customer data stored with other tenant data?
The only data that resides on Amazon servers is the mobile device identifier (token). That data is partitioned by distinct client specific topics, that is, notification channels.
