Is it possible to change the posting date after committing revenue?

Once revenue has been committed with a posting date, this information is frozen and can no longer be changed.

A workaround is to use revenue adjustments to correct the data:

  • a negative adjustment to remove revenue from the wrong posting date
  • a positive adjustment to add revenue to the correct posting date

In order to prevent this from happening again, closed periods can be set up. This would stop users from choosing a revenue date in the past (i.e. in a closed period).
