New time entries are not becoming available for approval

Symptoms
New time records have been submitted but they do not become available for approval. The designated time approver doesn't see any link in his 'My Reminders' portlet to access the time approval screen.

 


 

Reason
The database job 'Changepoint - Process Time Entries for Approval' might not be enabled or not be scheduled. This job is responsible to assign the correct approver to each time record. By default, this job runs every 30 minutes. If it would be disabled (e.g. after an upgrade) this can explain why time records don't become available for approval.

Resolution
Please ensure that the database job 'Changepoint - Process Time Entries for Approval' is enabled and scheduled to run every 30 minutes.
