Cognos synch did not take into account the change of a configurable field type

QUESTION:
The data type of one of our configurable field has changed. But when synchronizing custom fields with the Changepoint Sync Utility, this is not reflected in Cognos.


ANSWER:
Data type change is a rather seldom case and is not implemented in the sync utility. Should there be a data type change nevertheless, please import the base model first before synchronizing. This will correctly handle the data type change and is just a bit slower.
