Cannot view package properties in Cognos 11.1.1

Due to a defect in Cognos Analytics 11.1.1, it is not possible to view package properties.

As a workaround, you can enable the Cognos 10 style in a Legacy Portal.

1. 1. Go to IBM Cognos Administration.
   2. In the Status tab, click System and then select “Set properties”.

      

   3. In the Settings tab, click Edit in the Advanced settings row, and then insert the “portal.disablecc” parameter with a value of “false”. Make sure the parameter name is in lowercase and do not include the quotation marks.

      

   4. Click OK and exit from settings.
   5. Restart the Cognos environment.
   6. In Changepoint Administration, add a new custom section item in the Analytics section called "Legacy Portal". Use the same properties as shown in the following screenshot and  using the following URL:

      http://<cognosserver>:<port>/bi/v1/disp?b_action=xts.run&m=portal/cc.xts

      

   7. Be sure to select "Changepoint Administrator" in the Access control section, so that only administrators can access the legacy UI.

      Administrators can now access both the Cognos 11 and Cognos 10 interface:

      

      The Legacy Portal custom section item provides view access to the properties of the packages in Cognos 10.
