Error message when deleting processing rules

QUESTION:
We do not want to see the closed engagement under the engagement's drop down list when creating new requests. When I try to remove processing rules from a closed engagement I receive this error:
"You cannot delete the processing rules that have been applied to some requests in the system"
However, the engagement has no active projects/request showing under them.


ANSWER:
If there are any un-billed request time/product records the rule cannot be deleted. That's not the same as "active project/request".

There is no need to delete the processing rule. In order to eliminate the closed engagement from the list, you can un check the “available to enterprise users” options for all the request processing rules on that engagement to make it unavailable for selection in requests.
