User can still approve time in closed period

Symptoms
Closed periods have been configured for time creation and approval, with no grace period for time creation and and a period of 3 days for time approval. Users are still able to enter time in the closed period.

Reason
Lag days have been specified for time approval but not for the time entry.

 


Resolution
In order to set a cutoff date without a grace period, 0 must be entered into the cell that corresponds the action (e.g. edit/submit/create...etc).

Not entering any value (i.e. Null) means the action is allowed in the closed period.
