Workgroup is missing in preferred resources (2014)

SYMPTOMS

When using the tree view in 'manage preferred resources', some workgroups are missing, despite having active resources in their child workgroups.

ANSWER

When resources are only in a child workgroup but not in the parent workgroup, the parent workgroup is missing from the tree view. This is a known defect that will be fixed in a future release.

As a workaround you can either

- search for the resource by name

or

- assign a 'dummy' resource to the parent workgroup
