Change a system defined email template

Question
An email template text needs to be changed. However, it is marked as system defined and cannot be modified in system manager. Can this be changed in the database?

 


 

Answer
It is safe to change the text of an email template in the database, as long as the number and position of the placeholders (delimited by ÿ) are not changed. Do not add or change the sequence of the placeholders, this would lead to wrong mails to be sent.
