Is there any impact when changing the text value for a UDF code?

Question
For example, we want to change for one UDF Code field

  • 0 to No
  • 1 to Yes

Will this have an impact on existing entities using this UDF Code field?

 

 

Answer
The label text can be changed without impacting existing data, as the internal ID of the UDF Code remains the same. Entities using this UDF Code field will automatically show the new value.

Note:

For UDF Code that have history tracking enabled, or that are multi-select, Changepoint stores in some tables the actual text value. So for such fields it is possible that reports showing historical data continue to show the old text value, that was in place when the data was created.
