How to set up fiscal years?

Creating a fiscal year is a two steps process:

- In system management - finance - fiscal periods, select a billing office and then add the new year (name, start date, end date) and save.

- After saving, there will be a button to create weekly/monthly/quarterly periods. Select one of them and edit the generated dates if required. This is sometimes done for weekly FP, as the point of view on when the week starts/ends can differ.

If you manually change the dates, It is essential to make sure there are no gaps and no overlaps between fiscal years. This would prevent you from using the fiscal period in Changepoint.

Attention: Once created, and once in use, existing fiscal periods can no longer be modified. So before saving, very carefully review the dates entered.
