Where are State Transitions stored

QUESTION
Under Workflow Management, I created a new State Definition or ticket type but do not know where to add the State Transitions into the list to build the workflow. I need to build new Status to the state drop down list and need to know where to do this.

 


 

ANSWER:
Statuses are created differently depending on the entity type selected in the state definition screen.

To create a status for the entity type “Project” navigate to System Manager > User Interface > Configurable Field Values. Then select “System” as the level, “Task Lookups” as the category and finally, “Project Phase/ProjectPhase” as the code type. In the “Modify Configurable Field Lookup Value” frame there will be a value field this is where you will input the name of the status as well as the number for it.

If you need to create a status for a “Resource Request” or a “Request” entity you will need to do it from the backend, you can do this by adding a value to the “ResourceRequestStatus” table.
If you need to create a status for an Opportunity/Candidate then you will need to navigate to System Manager> Candidate Management>Candidate Status Setup.
