Importing an XML report file to Changepoint SA 2020

Importing a report specification to Changepoint includes the following steps.

Copy the report file contents to the clipboard

  1. Open the report XML file in Notepad or other file editing tool.
  2. Select all of the contents.
  3. Copy the contents to the clipboard (Ctrl+C).

Import the report file contents into Changepoint Analytics

  1. In Analytics Portal, click New at the bottom of the left pane, and then select Report.
  2. In Templates, double-click blank.
  3. In the new report window, click the more icon CognosGearIcon.png at the top right, and select Open report from clipboard.
  4. Paste the text from the clipboard to the Open report from clipboard dialog box.
  5. Click save CognosSaveIcon.png and then specify the report name and location.

Set up the imported reports in Changepoint

  1.  You must grant resources (other than the report owner) access to the report in Analytics Portal (Cognos 11.x). For more information, see the IBM Cognos Analytics documentation.
  2. In Changepoint Administration, click Reporting > Synchronize Cognos reports. A message appears briefly when the synchronization is complete.
  3. Sign out and then sign back into Changepoint.
  4. Click General > Reports.
  5. In Options, ensure that the By category option is selected. The imported reports appear in the Cognos category folder.
