Warning "Some effort is distributed to nonworking days and will be removed"

QUESTION:

When opening the project worksheet, there is a warning for one task assignment:

Some effort is distributed to nonworking days and will be removed when distribution for the item is changed. This will reduce the total effort. To retain total effort, change the total effort or start/finish date to re-distribute the effort to working days.


ANSWER:
An example for this is when a resource is unassigned at a future date. Imagine a resource that is planned on a task till the end of the year. Then the resource leaves the company and is unassigned at a future date, before the end of the year.

Effort has already been planned for this resource for this task till the end of the year, but the resource will no longer be available.

In that case you would see that warning message in the project worksheet. You will need to modify/replan that task assignment in order to make this warning disappear.
