QUESTION

Can we use the 'Transfer Records' functionality to reassign workflow steps? How does it handle workflow steps assigned to UDF participants?

 

ANSWER

It is possible to transfer the assignment of a workflow step using the transfer records functionality. This is however only possible for direct (=named ) assignments to a resource, or for system defined participants (like request initiator, project manager, ...). It is not possible to reassign workflow steps that are assigned to a UDF participants using the transfer records functionality. Instead, change the value of the UDF itself and this will then change the workflow assignment.
