Delegation Issue between 3 users

SYMPTOMS
The example is Cyndi, Tony, and James would like to each receive the workflow notifications and be able to push it through for their pool of developers. Currently Cyndi delegates to Tony, Tony delegates to James, and James to Cyndi. The failure is that request are routed to Tony, who has the role the workflow is looking for. In this situation only Tony and James are seeing the Request in their workflow and Cyndi is being left out.
 
REASON
Delegations of delegations are not supported in Changepoint, however, if workflow is delegated to a role, all users with that role, plus the original person who delegated, will see the reminders

 

 

RESOLUTION
In this example, give Tony and James a “workflow participant” role (it doesn’t have to have any features associated with it), and Cyndi would delegate to that role.
