Unable to select a Category when creating Knowledge Items

Symptoms:
Not able to select a Category while creating a Knowledge item, as the Category list is empty. Category and Sub category items created already in System Manager.

Reason:
User does not have any of the roles listed under "Roles required to automatically receive this subscription", in System Manager -> Knowledge Management -> Knowledge Subscriptions page.


Resolution:
Make sure that the user has the required role(s) for accessing the knowledge categories, or do not restrict knowledge categories to any role (i.e. clear out any role selected under "Roles required to automatically receive this subscription")
