CP 2020 Releases and General Patches features list

Changepoint February 2021 Release (19.00.140.000)

  • Revenue management enhancements:
    • “Preferred language” field on contracts (Billing Information tab) to specify the preferred language (of the supported languages) for invoices and credit notes.
    • Invoices and credit notes can be created, viewed, emailed, and saved as PDF in any of the supported languages.
    • Invoices and credit notes can be saved in PDF format with or without expense attachments.
    • Invoices and credit notes can be sent by email in any supported language in either HTML or PDF format; expense attachments can be included in PDF format.
    • Invoices and invoice details can be printed.
    • Batch Print can be accessed in all browsers.
  • Project Management enhancement
    • Actual finish date is automatically calculated when project status is changed to Completed.
  • Time and Expenses enhancement
    • All items in the Time and Expenses tree view can be accessed in all browsers.

           

           

Changepoint January 2021 Release (19.00.136.000)

  • General enhancements:
    • Global search – entity list is sorted in alphabetical order
    • Location field for resources in User Setup has been changed from a text field to a drop-down list.
      Time management – added option to billing offices to prevent time adjustments for time records that have been invoiced.
  • Invoicing – new restrictions on invoice and credit note formats
  • Revenue recognition – Step 2 Tentative Revenue Recognition:
    • added ability to set a schedule for additional billing offices without overwriting the previous schedule
    • added the name of the resource who set the schedule next to the billing office schedule
  • Deprecated charts and pivot table
    • Charts and pivot table based on outdated technology have been removed

           

           

19.00.133.000 General Patch

  • General enhancements
    • Changepoint now opens in the same browser window as the sign-in screen
    • The [user name] on the user menu has been replaced with an icon.
  • Project Worksheet enhancements
    • Redesigned Manage views dialog
    • Completed redesign of Manage filters dialog
    • Notification message to advise when background Project Worksheet changes have been saved or have failed validation.
    • For projects that have resource restrictions enabled, resources from the project team are available to be added to task assignments instead of preferred resources
    • “Manage Project Worksheet Views” security feature renamed to “Manage Project Worksheet Views and Filters”. Resources require this feature to share PW views and filters and edit PW views and filters created by other resources.
  • Resource Planner enhancements
    • Redesigned Manage views dialog
    • Redesigned Manage filters dialog
  • Changepoint Administration (User Setup) – When a resource is terminated, the value in the Reports to field is retained for historical purposes instead of being deleted.

           

           

19.00.130.00 General Patch

  • Resource Planner
    • Resource match settings dialog – Ability to search the columns to be used as match criteria
    • Individual or multiple rows in the worksheet can be expanded or collapsed by one level
  • The following standard reports can be accessed using all supported browsers:
    • Batch invoicing
    • Batch time and expenses approval
    • Revenue recognition
  • Architectural changes to improve overall system performance and scalability for tracking fiscal data for planned, actual and forecast data

           

           

19.00.128.000 General Patch

  • Resource Planner – redesign of the user interface and user experience (UI/UX)
  • Project Worksheet – second phase of UI/UX improvements
  • Changepoint session expiration settings – Settings to automatically end Changepoint sessions after a set period of inactivity. 
  • SSO Support for MSP plug-in – For installation and configuration instructions, see the Changepoint 2020 Installation Guide.

           

           

19.00.124.000 General Patch

  • Project Worksheet – first phase of the redesign of the user interface to improve and enhance the appearance and usability.
  • Nonworking days – Time entries for nonworking days can be configured to be automatically added to the time sheet.
  • Non-project time view in Changepoint Administration (Time and Expenses > Non-project time) now includes “Level” column to show which level that the non-project item originates from.                 

19.00.123.000 General Patch

  • Ability for resources to specify effort amounts (not just percentages) when reassigning demand items in Resource Planner.
  • Option to allow time submissions at month end for weekly time submission schedules
  • Option on billing offices to control whether the related time records for a fixed fee are automatically selected when the fixed fee is invoiced.

           

           

19.00.119.000 General Patch

  • Project Worksheet – The project manager, project plan editor, and summary task managers for a project can lock and work with separate tasks in the same project and at the same time.
  • Tool tips that display descriptions of nonworking days in Project Worksheet, Resource Planner, Resource Scheduling, Service Scheduler, and Workforce Planning.
  • Configuration setting for display of decimal places – the number of decimal places that are displayed in Project Worksheet and Resource Planner can be changed from the default value of three to two, one, or zero decimal places.
  • Weekly time approvals – time approvers can expand or collapse all the weekly time entries for a resource at once by clicking the resource name.

           

           

19.00.117.000 General Patch

  • Project Management
    • Ability to perform resource matches based on selected task or task assignment
    • Time approver and expense approver for the project are displayed on the project profile
    • Milestone tasks and tasks with the same start and finish date can have zero days duration
  •  Resource Planner
    • Ability to grant read-only or edit access to resource managers

           

           

19.00.115.000 General Patch

  • Transfer Time and Expenses – To improve performance, the number of records that are returned in the “Transfer to” field is limited to 500 for the total number of assignments and projects.
  • Project Worksheet and Resource Planner usability improvements
    • All user-defined filters remain applied after the user clicks Apply or Refresh.
    • Column filters – When there are one or more values in a column with the same name, only one value is displayed for selection in the column filter.
    • Selected row – When the user selects a row and then refreshes the view or applies changes, the selected row remains highlighted.
  • UI/UX improvements
    • Changes to tree views to improve usability and access
    • Folders view collapses automatically to allow a larger display area for the following views:
      • Activities
      • Calendar
      • Campaign calendar
      • Project Worksheet – Inline view only
      • Service Scheduler
      • All Intelligent Forms
