Re-adding feature to a role

Symptoms


When trying to re-add a feature to a role after just being removed , get error.

Error:
There are Resources with this role that require their licenses to be upgraded but there are not enough available licenses for the feature [feature name here] The role cannot be saved.

Reason

Feature count doesn't get properly reset when feature is taken out of role.


 

Resolution

To fix this error please go to the System Manager> Administration Tools >> License Management. That will reset the number of licenses being used. Now you can go back to the User Setup >> Role and Feature Mapping and you should be able to add this feature back to the role.
