How to exclude non-national Public Holiday from planning (2012 SP2)

QUESTION:
We have a non-national Public Holidays planned. How can we change the RMW to not include a project plan for this day when you have a country billing office but the public holiday only applies to one state\region?


ANSWER:
The best way is to make this day a non-working day. That way, demand can’t be allocated to it and you have visibility into it as a non-working day. If you have it as a project, the RMW treats it like demand.

The non-working day can be set at the workgroup or global workgroup level. If your workgroups aren’t aligned with regions, it would have to be done as individual non-working days per resource.
