Why does MSP Add-on not list any projects?

Question:
The user is project manager and project plan editor for several projects. Why are there no projects listed in MSP Add-on for linking?

Answer:
The user is a project manager for projects which:
- either has an open task
- or has a resource request for which a mandatory configurable field (UDF) is not set

Such projects cannot be linked to MSP therefore not available in "Available projects" list.

The user is project plan editor (PPE) of projects that have not been linked to MSP, therefore are not available in the “Linked projects” list. Note that only the project manager can initiate MSP link, and only then the PPE will be able to open the project in MSP. Such projects are listed as grayed out in MSP, indicating they can be opened as read-only.
