Hiding Expense Report Categories on mobile site(CP 2014)

QUESTION:
Is it possible to hide or inactivate the expense categories on the mobile device? We have many different categories that aren’t being used. I would like to narrow down the list so when resources create their expense via mobile devices, see the most common categories. 


ANSWER:
It is not possible to hide/inactive the expense categories.
The only way to prevent the categories from appearing in the list is to delete them. We do not recommend deleting as it may impact the reports that used those categories. To order to narrow down the list and make the most common categories appear at the beginning of the list, you can re-name the unwanted ones to something like ‘zz-do not use…’ which will not stop users from using them, but would make it less likely.
