Total actual days in task assignment does not correspond to total days in time table

Question
Why there is a noticeable difference when comparing the total actual days for a task assignment to the time table?

 It seems to be more than just a rounding issue. The total number of hours matches exactly, though.

Answer
This can happen when the daily conversion factor for a resource changes. In that case, we can record the correct conversion factor with each time entry. In the task assignment table however Changepoint can store only one conversion factor.

Example: A resource enters time, then the conversion factor changes and more time is entered:

Time Entry 1: 4 hours, daily conversion factor 4 = 1 day

Time Entry 2: 8 hours, daily conversin factor 8= 1 day.

Now when the totals are queried from the time table, it will report 12 hours and 2 days.

In the task assignment table, we have now the conversion factor 8, and it will report 12 hours and 1.5 days. This is the way it works and it is not a defect.
