Applying a dashboard template package

  1. Import the ZIP package according to the instructions in the “Importing multiple reports” section of the Changepoint Analytics Reference guide.
  2. Refresh the data sets (requires Cognos Administrator access):
      1. Sign into Analytics Portal.
      2. Click Team content > [Dashboard name]. The data sets, data module and dashboard appear.
      3. For each data set (Project Time, Resource, Resource Approval, Time), select the data set, right-click and select Refresh. Be sure to wait until the refresh is completed before proceeding to the next dataset.
  3. Add the dashboard to Changepoint (Changepoint Administration > Reporting > Synchronize Cognos Reports).
  4. Create a Changepoint dashboard (Changepoint Administration > User Interface > Dashboard Management) and add the dashboard to it.

Creating a schedule to automatically refresh the data sets

The dashboard includes the data that is available at the most recent time that the data sets are refreshed. A maximum schedule frequency of once per hour is recommended to avoid negatively affecting system performance.

  1. In Analytics Portal > Team content >[Dashboard name], right-click on the data set and select Properties.
  2. Click the Schedule tab.
  3. Click the Create schedule button.
  4. Select the frequency settings and then click Save.
