Accessibility of custom field values in sub-workgroups

Custom field values have been added for a workgroup. Are these values available for selection for resources in child workgroups?

 

There is inheritance from system level to everything below, and from global workgroup to everything below, but not from workgroups to sub-workgroups:

•The system level values are visible for selection in all global workgroups, and all workgroups below them.
•Any additional values added at the global workgroup level, are visible for selection in all workgroups below (in addition to the system level values).
•Additional codes added at a workgroup level are visible to users in that workgroup only, and are not visible for selection for the workgroups below them. The same codes would need to be added again for each applicable workgroup.
