Uses with hebrew language see wrong date format

Question
Why users with he-IL (hebrew - Israel) locale do not see the correct date format? It should be DD/MM/YYYY but day and month are exchanged and they see MM/DD/YYYY.

Answer
he-IL is not a supported locale by Changepoint. Adding support for this locale would require some customization work, as due to a defect in Microsoft VBScript date formatting would not be consistent in the ASP pages.

As an alternative, he-IL could be added into the UILanguages setting in web.config and global.asa and mapped to a locale with similar properties. e.g. if we add  he-il|2057|E|USA|0, then users with he-IL locale will get british english formatting (2057), which has the same date and number format as hebrew.
