Choosing a budget fixed fee in a budget service does not populate the fixed fee column (2014)

Symptoms

When selecting a budget fixed fee for a budget service, this also automatically populates the fixed fee column of the budget service. But for some budget fixed fees this does not happen. After selecting the budget fixed fee from the drop down list, the column fixed fee remains empty for the budget service.

 


Resolution

The behavior depends on the definition of the budget fixed fee:

1 - the budget fixed fee has been entered manually

or

2 - the budget fixed fee has been populated/copied from the engagement

In case 1, selecting this budget fixed fee on a budget service does not populate the fixed fee (=engagement fixed fee). In case 2 it will populate the fixed fee field for the budget service.
