Billing Office not saved when editing a Service Budget Item (2012)

QUESTION:
If I edit a Budget Service Item Line, set only a Billing Office value and try to save, why the Billing Office value is not saved?


ANSWER:
This behavior is normal because the billing office is only relevant if a billing role is also selected for the Service Budget item. If you’re only selecting the billing office, that’s not enough and that’s why data is not saved.
When both a Billing Role and a Billing Office is selected when you click OK, the value is displayed as expected in the grid and saved when you click Save/Apply from the Edit Budget dialog.
