HTTPS error not loading Report Designer

Symptoms

We migrated environment to version 2017 and are using HTTPS on the servers. When we try to load Report Designer it fails to open and disconnects from Changepoint. This happens in any browser.

On its own, the link works.

Error

Running Fiddler error is captured:

SEC7111: HTTPS securiry is compromised by res://ieframe.dll//sslnavcancel.htm

Reason

The application is not recognizing the certificate as a valid one. This was a self-signed certificate generated just for testing purposes since the full certificate has a cost associated to it.

Resolution

Open MMC (console) and import the Self-Signed certificate to be trusted, then all works fine.
