Unlock a budget, request, project, etc.

A user wants to edit an entity in Changepoint, but this results in an error message that the entity (project, request, engagement, budget, ...) is locked.


The user has to wait until the user holding the lock (i.e. who is currently editing the entity) has finished his work and closed the editor window.

If nobody else is editing the entity but the message persists, please use the functionality 'Administration - Tools - Unlock Records' in order to remove the lock manually.

Note: In case the lock belongs to a session that has expired (e.g. a user has shut down his PC without quitting Changepoint first), then the lock will be removed automatically after a while (typically 5-15 minutes) by a background job, so no manual action is required.
