Stuck in workflow

QUESTION
We have workflow for Project Initiation Request. The role to process the requests is "RD Administrator" which was removed from the person who processes them. In the interim, several requests were initiated in workflow.

Now the person has the role back, but they are not seeing the notifications in my reminders. Should he be?

Are the reminders only going to appear when he has the role, but not retroactively when assigned it? If that's the case, is there a way to refresh or force the reminders so he can process the workflow?
 


 

ANSWER
If that resource was not assigned the role to receive the request workflow reminders, you can try to get them back by doing the following:

1. Re-assign that resource the Role
2. Log into System Manager
3. Go to Workflow Management
4. Reset Workflow state instance.
5. Select the entity type you want to change, select the state that the entity is currently in and then select the state you want to change to, and when you click the search button, it will bring back a list of entities that match your criteria. To update the entities, place a checkbox beside the entity and click on the RESET link at the top right hand corner.
