SYMPTOMS

The full text search on knowledge items and attachments does not return any results. We have verified that the related database jobs for fulltext index population are enabled.

 


RESOLUTION

It might be that the full text index got corrupted. In that case, in SQL Mgmt Studio right click on the full text and select 'rebuild' to force a manual population of the index. If this doesn't help, please drop and recreate the fulltext index. To do so, please use the scripts provided on the Changepoint installation media in Utilities \ Porting SQL Databases: DropFullText.sql and Setup_Full_Text.sql. More details on these scripts can be found in the installation guide.
